Zinc Electroplating We’ve been working to protect metals for over 30 years. Following a pretreatment process in which we clean and activate the surface of the metal, we use electrolytic methods to apply a layer of zinc. We process parts both individually as suspended components using rack electroplating (up to a length of 3700 mm) and in bulk using barrel electroplating. We additionally passivate the zinc layer in order to increase corrosion resistance and achieve an attractive appearance. We offer a wide range of passivation treatments, which we can reinforce with a transparent topcoat to provide corrosion resistance and low friction characteristics. All according to the customer's preference.

RACK ELECTROPLATING

We perform galvanization on automatic computer-controlled suspension lines. We use a standard zinc layer thickness of 8-12 μm.

Electroplating Plant 1

  • Maximum part dimensions (L × H × W): 2300 × 1300 × 580 mm
  • Alkaline bath, forms coatings with excellent adhesion and uniform distribution of layer thickness

Electroplating Plant 2

  • Maximum part dimensions (L × H × W): 3700 × 1180 × 580 mm
  • Acid bath, allows for a high-gloss zinc coating

Electroplating Plant 3

  • Maximum part dimensions (L × H × W): 3500 × 1300 × 580 mm
  • Alkaline bath, forms coatings with excellent adhesion and uniform distribution of layer thickness

BARREL ELECTROPLATING

This method of galvanization is suitable for large quantities of small parts.

Barrel line

  • Maximum capacity 100 kg
  • Acid bath

TECHNOLOGY AFTER GALVANIZATION

Passivation

Passivation is used to improve the final properties, especially in terms of corrosion resistance and appearance. We partner with leading chemical suppliers to allow us to offer passivation customized to your products.

  • Blue thin-film passivation – this is the basic type of passivation, sometimes referred to as transparent, thin-film Cr3+, or white. The result is a bluish-violet passivation layer. The thickness of the layer is up to 0.1 µm.
  • Blue thick-film passivation – blue metallic appearance, excellent corrosion resistance.
  • Yellow thick-film passivation – creates coatings with iridescent yellow colors that shift toward violet hues. It has higher corrosion resistance than thin-film passivation. Does not contain hexavalent chromium, layer thickness up to 0.3 µm.
  • Extra yellow thick-film passivation – classic yellow thick-film passivation with added pigment for an extra yellow appearance.
  • Black passivation – these coatings provide the perfect appearance and high corrosion resistance.

Organic topcoat

  • All passivation layers can also be sealed with topcoat. A water-soluble and transparent sealer that increases corrosion resistance and reduces friction.

STANDARDS

We perform zinc coating in accordance with the ISO 2081 standard
(Metallic and other inorganic coatings ‒ Electroplated coatings of zinc with supplementary treatments on iron or steel).

We also offer corrosion resistance testing of galvanized parts in accordance with ISO 9227.
We have our own chamber for salt spray testing.
